Demand for Additional Professional Education Created by the Able-Bodied Population, and Regional Capacities for Its Realization

The paper considers what demands for further education can be observed among different graduates completed the programs of vocational schools of the Novosibirsk Oblast - both employed and unemployed at present. We describe the current and potential demand and supply for additional professional education which can or could be observed in the regional market. We show that different segments of the system of additional professional education and relative market segments do react to different demands of groups of the population, sectors of the economy, public employment services, and a labor market.

The economic development capacity of urban aboriginal peoples in Canada

The paper analyzes the human capital and employment of the urban population in Canada. The paper shows the disparities characterizing the employment structures of aboriginal and non-aboriginal populations; it also analyzes the age-and-gender differences, and the gaps existing between different aboriginal communities. The authors' recommendations made to the agencies involved in the governmental programs on how to improve the employment of the aboriginal population are presented

Financial crisis: causes and consequences

In the author's opinion, the origin of the economic recession taking place in most countries resides in the house price crashes happened in the USA's and UK's housing markets. The financial crisis has been caused by many factors, which are analysed here. Some ways of how to manage the crisis are presented too.

Financial anti-crisis measures in Heilongjiang Province

The paper shows what specific features of the economic structure in Hei-longjiang Province allow reducing negative impacts of the world financial-economic crisis on different spheres of the province economy, and describes the economic and social measures which central and province governments undertake to come out of a recession.
